About Us
After the 2023 harvest, we will begin to distribute extra-virgin olive oil (EVOO) in the United States by Olivadoti Olive Oil Company. In the meantime, we will be developing this website and by way of an introduction, we would like to explain a little about how we have connected with Calabria and her people.
Nearly 2 decades ago, we decided to visit our cousins who still live in the town of my grandfather and great grandfather in the “piccolo paese” of Vena di Maida. It is in the center of the narrowest part of Calabria in the toe of the boot. On a map, it appears that the gods tried to pinch it in order to join the Tyrrhenian and Ionian seas – often referred to as “due mare” in the heart of what was once “Magna Grecia.”
We were immediately drawn by the love and hospitality we were shown by our cousins and their neighbors, and continue to spend our vacations there each year, drinking in the best Calabria has to offer.
After 20 years of visiting once or twice annually, we bought our own olive grove in the “campagna” where my family and friends have their “uliveti.” Our intention is to import the exceptional single-sourced “Carolea” extra virgin olive oil often used to blend and improve other, less-quality oil.
In the future, we will also use this site to introduce the world to Calabria, her people, places and all things Calabrian.

Dopo il raccolto del 2023, incominceremo a distribuire Olio di Oliva extra vergine EVOO, negli Stati Uniti dalla Ditta Olivadoti e Co.
Circa 2 decenni fa decidemmo di andare a trovare i nostri cugini che ancora vivono nel paese di mio nonno e bisnonno. Questo piccolo borgo si chiama “ Vena Di Maida” Situato al centro della parte più stretta della Calabria. Tale restringimento che appare sulla mappa, si dice che sia stata voluta da Dio per rendere più vicini il Mar Tirreno con il Mar Ionio che spesso viene conosciuto come territorio dei Due Mari, nel cuore di quella che fu la civiltà della Magna Grecia.
Abbiamo così deciso di intraprendere questa impresa perché attrarti per l’amore e l’ospitalità dei nostri cugini e vicini. Per molti anni abbiamo continuato a trascorrere le nostre vacanze a “Vena Di Maida”Imparando ad assaporare tutto quello di buono che la Calabria offre.
Dopo 20 anni delle nostre visite abbiamo deciso di comprare un vasto Uliveto nella “ campagna” dove già la mia famiglia sono proprietari di ampi appezzamenti di terreni coltivabili.
In futuro, utilizzeremo questo sito anche per far conoscere al mondo la Calabria, la sua gente, luoghi, arte storia e costumi.
La nostra intenzione è produrre e poi importare il nostro prodotto “CAROLEA” extra vergine olive oil.
